We have a vertical stack with text elements, then a last free-positioned element to create a gradient effect on top of the text items. The gradient is positioned at 0,0 with width,height 100%, and no margin, however there is still margin … The top of the box should have been above “Specialty Teas” (image 2, 3). See the margin-top rule that I believe unintentionally applies to the element (image 4)
