During a recent update, it appears Plasmic chose to add a default Padding of 8px to boxes. It also appears that Layout and Position are receiving default values. Is there a way to edit the defaults back to unset?

Not currently, but thanks for the feedback - will think about exposing some knobs here.
@yang +1. I find myself systematically removing The 8px padding and the 100% max width from each and every box 
+1 this would be a huge time saver. I’ve needed 0px padding 99% of the time vs 8px
