Scaling using em values results in larger than expected font size

I’m in the process of scaling an entire component, using em values.

I found, that scaling a text component results in a more than 2x size, when douubling the em value. Perhaps you know why?

34. changed it to 2em.

anyway, the text itself is getting way too big
