I’m unable to have a different text style between the base and variant versions of a component, in this case, regular text for the base version and italics text for the placeholder variant. Is there a way to do this?
I don’t think you should have a problem doing that if you select the slot target layer between the variants
You see italic in the first artboard because it is showing the placeholder (since nothing is selected right now…). If you go into live preview and try selecting an option, you should see the right styles. We know it’s a bit awkward right now but we’re working on improving this flow
