Adding ICON to side bar

Hey everyone !
I know how to add icons, but its not working for side bars.
Does anybody know how to add an icon to the side bar , before or after the text ?

and also my final goal to show a little icons (not the first letters of menu) when I close the side bar.

does anybody have tried it before, or am I asking a default thing which can not be done?

@sarah_ahmed if there was a UI that made it easier to copy the Project ID; possibly where the project’s API token is, I think it would be a better user experience since the Project ID gets used more often then the API token

This is currently not possible with our default layout component. Will be adding this as a tasks for the team.
