Is Plasmic good for me?

I’m considering using Plasmic and would appreciate your insights on whether it’s suitable for my needs. Here’s my situation:

  • My girlfriend and I have recently started learning together. She’s studying design (likely using Figma), while I’m looking for ways to implement her designs.
  • I’m interested in no-code/low-code web development. Initially, I thought Webflow would be a good option, but I’ve noticed some limitations for Lithuania, such as a lack of payment gateway integrations.
  • I like that Plasmic offers extensive integrations with popular frameworks and similar features.
  • I’m also considering using Toddle as an alternative.

My main questions are: About the workflow with clients if I were to become a freelancer or start an agency:

  • If I create a simple website for a client using Plasmic, does the client need to purchase Plasmic themselves?
  • Or is it sufficient for me to have a Plasmic subscription, with the client potentially paying me a portion of the fee?
  • How would it work if I end up with multiple projects (say, 10 different ones) in my account?

Regarding static vs dynamic websites:

  • Is Plasmic suitable for creating static websites, or is it better to use only for dynamic websites?
  • Are there better options for static websites, and if so, in what scenarios would Plasmic be the preferred choice?

Additional questions:

  • If I use a free account and host the website outside of Plasmic hosting, does the Plasmic branding still remain? Do I need to purchase a paid version to remove it?
  • Is Plasmic suitable for a complete beginner in web development?
  • I’ve noticed that Plasmic hasn’t uploaded new content to YouTube in a while, and I don’t see much news about them. Are they still actively developing and supporting the platform?
  • I’m also considering Toddle as an alternative. In your opinion, why would Plasmic be a better choice compared to Toddle, especially for someone in my situation (beginner, potentially freelancing, based in Lithuania)?

Note: I’m aware that I might be completely misunderstanding how this process works. If the reality is entirely different from what I’m imagining, please feel free to correct me and explain how it actually functions.

Sorry for such a long post
Thank you in advance for your insights! (edited)

Hi Deividas, welcome to the Plasmic forums.

You can use Plasmic either with your own account or with your clients’ account.

Plasmic is suitable for both static and dynamic sites.

Plasmic branding does not remain if you host your own site.

Plasmic is a relatively complex product to use and you will get best results if at least one person on your team is technical.

We are actively developing the platform but have not invested in our YouTube channel recently.

I haven’t used Toddle much, so would love to get your feedback on it vs Plasmic!
