MCP Server for Plasmic

Hey everyone,

I work in a web agency and we use Plasmic as our primary tool for building marketing sites for clients. It’s been great for our workflow, but there’s one area where I’m starting to feel the competitive pressure from other tools.

Both Webflow and Framer have recently shipped MCP (Model Context Protocol) servers, which means you can connect them to AI tools like Claude or Cursor and make edits to your projects conversationally. Think things like “update the hero headline to X”, “swap the CTA color to blue”, “add a testimonial section” — applied directly to the project without touching the editor manually.

For an agency context this is a huge deal. When clients send feedback or we do internal reviews, the back-and-forth of manually applying small changes adds up fast. Being able to hand off a list of tweaks to an AI assistant that pushes them straight into the project would dramatically speed up our iteration cycles.

Would love to know:

  • Is an MCP server on the Plasmic roadmap?
  • If not, is there enough API surface to build a community one?
  • Is anyone else interested in this?

I think this could be a real differentiator for Plasmic in the agency/freelancer space. Happy to help test or contribute if there’s momentum here.

Thanks!

Any update from the Plasmic team? Even a quick “on the roadmap” or “not planned” would be helpful. Thanks!

MCP support is something that we will be considering after shipping our agentic experience.
