Subdomain CNAME setup issue "DomainUsedElsewhereInVercel"

I’m receiving the same issue as the below when trying to set a subdomain to a plasmic project:
• root domain is on vercel
• CNAME for the subdomain is pointed at the plasmic hosted URL
• Receive the error “DomainUsedElsewhereInVercel”

i have now gone down the route of hosting a next.js application on vercel and using the plasmic loader, however for future reference it was:
liveart.xyz as the domain

and the subdomain i can send privately as its work in progress
