Using Page or Global Variants for Default Styles

Is it possible to use Global Variants or Page Variants to set the default styles? The UI makes it confusing that it is possible for Tokens but not the style settings since it looks identical but its missing on the Default Styles setting.

Yes, it’s a current limitation to screen variants.
